A restroom trailer needs a fairly level spot about the size of a parking space plus room for the tow vehicle, a standard 110-volt outlet on its own 20-amp circuit within about 100 feet, and either a garden hose connection or an onboard fresh-water tank. Without power, add a quiet generator.

How many guests can one restroom trailer handle?
One 2-stall restroom trailer handles about 100 to 130 guests at a 5-hour reception, which works out to roughly 50 to 65 guests per stall. For 150 to 250 guests, book a larger multi-stall trailer or add a deluxe unit beside it for the peak after dinner.

When should you choose a trailer over porta potties?
Choose a restroom trailer when guests are dressed up, the event runs past dark, older guests will attend, or the venue asks for indoor-style restrooms. Choose porta potties when the ground is rough, there is no power, or the event is a casual daytime party.
Trailers have steps, so add a wheelchair-accessible unit beside the trailer for any guest who uses a wheelchair or walker.
