What comes inside a standard porta potty?
A standard porta potty has a toilet seat over a sealed waste tank, a urinal, a hand-sanitizer dispenser, 2 rolls of toilet paper, a vent stack and a lockable door with an occupied sign. It needs no water or power, so it works on bare lots, farms and driveways.

Will a standard porta potty fit through my gate?
A standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, so a backyard gate needs at least 48 inches of clear opening, plus room for the driver to tilt it on a hand truck. Narrow gates are common in older St. Charles neighborhoods; in that case the unit goes in the driveway or side yard.
- Level ground within about 25 feet of where the truck parks
- Clear of overhead lines, sprinkler heads and septic lids
- Door facing away from the street or the party for privacy
- Tell us about locked gates and gate codes before delivery day

How long can you rent a standard porta potty?
A standard porta potty rents for a single event or by the 28-day cycle. Event rentals cover delivery the day before and pickup the next business day. Monthly rentals renew every 28 days with weekly service included until you call for pickup, which stops the billing.
Remodels and new builds usually take one to six cycles. See monthly porta potty rental for the billing calendar.
How many standard porta potties does a party need?
A party of up to 50 guests for 4 hours needs 1 standard porta potty, and 100 guests need 2. Add 1 unit for every 4 when alcohol is served, and add a handwashing station whenever food is out.
| Guests | 4 hours | 8 hours |
|---|---|---|
| 25 guests | 1 | 2 |
| 50 guests | 1 | 2 |
| 100 guests | 2 | 3 |
| 150 guests | 3 | 5 |

Questions before you book
What color are the standard units?
Standard units come in blue, gray, green or pink depending on the lot. Ask for a color when you call and we hold it if one is in stock.
Do you supply toilet paper and sanitizer?
Each unit goes out with 2 rolls of toilet paper and a full sanitizer dispenser. Monthly rentals get both refilled at each weekly service.
Do I have to be home for delivery?
You do not have to be there. Mark the spot with a cone or chalk, or describe it on the call, and the driver texts a photo once the unit is placed.
Is a standard unit cheaper than a deluxe one?
A standard unit is our lowest-priced porta potty. Typical 2026 event quotes run about $175 to $300 with delivery and pickup, while a deluxe flushing unit runs about $280 to $500.
Can I move the unit after it is delivered?
Please do not drag or tip a full unit. Call us and the next service visit can move it, or we schedule a quick move for a small fee.
What if the unit gets damaged or tipped?
Normal wear is on us. Damage from fire, vandalism or vehicles is billed at repair cost, which is why we place units away from driveways and secure them on windy, open sites.
