How many porta potties does a construction site need?
OSHA rule 29 CFR 1926.51 Table D-1 requires 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers, 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers for 20 to 199, and 1 seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers for 200 or more. Washing facilities are also required under 1926.51(f).
| Workers on site | OSHA minimum | Our usual setup |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 20 | 1 toilet | 1 standard unit + 1 handwashing station |
| 21 to 40 | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 40 workers | 2 standard units + 1 station |
| 41 to 80 | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 40 workers | 3 to 4 units + 1 to 2 stations |
| 200+ | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 50 workers | Custom service plan |
Read the rule: OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51. Each standard unit has a seat and a urinal. The legal minimum is the floor; crews working long weeks often need an extra service visit rather than an extra unit.
How is a job-site porta potty billed?
A job-site porta potty bills every 28 days. The first cycle includes delivery, each cycle includes one weekly service, and a small removal charge appears on the final invoice when we pick up. Billing stops the day the unit leaves the site.
- Card on file, or invoice and PO terms for approved contractor accounts
- One delivery charge for multiple units to the same site
- Extra service visits for big crews or summer heat
- Move a unit to the next lot for a small trip charge

Where should a job-site unit go?
A job-site porta potty should sit on level ground within about 25 feet of where the service truck can park, away from crane swing, trench edges and delivery traffic. On new subdivision lots that usually means the driveway apron or the curb side of the lot.
For crews that move between lots, a towable unit trailer carries two units behind a pickup. Ask about it when you call.

Can you deliver to a job site today?
Same-day job-site delivery is open on most weekdays across St. Charles County and nearby St. Louis County when you call by early afternoon. Contractors call us most often when another supplier missed a delivery, so we keep units staged for exactly that.

Questions before you book
Do you set up recurring service for builders?
Builders with several lots can open an account with one invoice, a standing weekly service day and a quick call to move units from lot to lot.
Can I skip weekly service to save money?
The 28-day price includes weekly service, so skipping it saves nothing and leaves a full unit on site. Small crews can ask about every-other-week service.
Do you have high-rise or crane-lift units?
Ask when you call. We can source lift-ready units for multi-story projects with a few days' notice.
Is a home remodel residential or commercial?
We price a remodel the same either way: a 28-day rental with weekly service. Homeowners hiring their own trades book exactly like contractors.
How much is a construction porta potty per month?
Typical 2026 quotes run about $250 to $380 for the first 28 days including delivery, then about $190 to $285 per cycle after that, with weekly service included.
